About the event
What does a Sound Bath look like?
This Sound Bath will take place in a large, candlelit yoga room at Coloured Soul Yoga & Wellness. Please bring your yoga mat, a cozy blanket, and a pillow for comfort, and dress in comfortable clothing (try to avoid zip-up outfits). We will provide an hour of deep, meditative sound therapy- and your only job is to relax!
Why do we use Singing Bowls?
Tibetan and Crystal Singing Bowls are traditionally known for their healing properties through sound waves.
Based on the knowledge of the 7 Chakras, the harmonization of body and mind is achieved through the soft and deep vibrations of the Tibetan Singing Bowls. They stimulate our brainwaves, helping our brain to move into wave frequencies that induce deep meditative and peaceful states, which can be equivalent to several hours of sleep.
The benefits permeate all dimensions of the being: on the physical plane (relief of various bodily ailments) and the spiritual/emotional plane (stress, anxiety, insomnia), even helping unblock deep emotional processes.
We also use other elements like tuning forks, tongue drum, frame drum, tingshas, harp, hummer dulcimer and our own voices, making the experience a real sound journey.
Who is hosting the Sound Bath?
This event is held by Health & Harmony, run by Jose Peralta, who is an MD (Argentina), Sound Therapist and Naturopathic Medicine student, and Melissa Morris, a Yoga teacher, musician and actor. We look forward to seeing you!
